Pastor Aaron & Carri Furman
Aaron Furman did not have the opportunity to experience the blessings of a Christian home early in his life. Through faithful soul-winners his mother was introduced to a good Bible preaching church in Tallmadge, Ohio. He received Christ as his Lord and Saviour at church camp when he was nine years old. During junior high school he fully committed his life to the Lord and answered the call to preach the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Aaron was married to his bride Carri Goodridge on June 7th of 2003, and has been blessed with 4 children and has had the privilege in helping raise his brother Caleb Ripley. In August of 2003, he started his formal training at Heritage Baptist Institute, while he was serving at the Stow Falls Baptist Church. He served there until the Lord gave him a burden for an inner-city church in West Akron. He was ordained in July of 2006, and sent with several faithful families from the church to start the West Akron Baptist Church. The Lord put His stamp of approval on the ministry by saving souls and allowing the privilege of baptizing and discipling them. They soon started to outgrow the current building and started praying for the Lord’s will, and God directed them to the Calvary Baptist Church when they came in early 2012.
